COMMUNITY
Local connections, strong ties
At Catonsville Co-op, community is one of our core values.
It starts right at the school. Families, teachers, and alumni connect together, creating the special network that makes the Co-op unique among other preschools. Learn about the traditions, field trips, clubs, and other events that make our Co-op community amazing — and bring families back for generations.
And we connect outwards, too, building local partnerships in our local community in Catonsville, MD. We have ties through local businesses through fundraisers, field trips, and partnerships (shout out to Gene’s Greens for the local, seasonal produce for snack time).
We believe building community both strengthens our school and teaches children the value of building something bigger than themselves.
Co-op Happenings
Pumpkin patch
Children aren't required to dress like a pumpkin, but it does make hide-and-seek interesting.
Chicks
Chicks, chicks, CHICKS. Fluffy baby little chicks! They live at the Co-op in the springtime. We also have eggs in an incubator, and rumor has it that eggs hatch and turn into CHICKS
Farm trip
Watch your fingers!
Camp Co-op
In the summer, Camp Co-op offers outdoor fun for kids. (Extra change of clothes highly recommended)
Firehouse Visit
If you're obsessed with firetrucks (vroom, beep, wee-ooh-wee-ooh) or know someone who is, this is it. We go down the road to the firehouse, where children can step inside a truck and talk to real firefighters.
Donuts with a grown-up
On one day a year, the Co-op fills with dads and other donut-fans. Any family member is welcome!
Catonsville July 4 Parade
The Co-op always has a float in the Catonsville Fourth of July Parade! If you see a pickup truck full of wilted children wearing Co-op colors, wave to us!
